A Tip for Expansion

A Tip for Expansion

Did you know that the goldfishes are staying that small because of the bowls we put them in?  And did you know that if we’d let them swim in their natural habitat, a full size lake, they’d become many-many times bigger?

So, how is this information of value to us you might ask.  Exactly in the sense – is the answer – that  we are not goldfishes.

The idea I am sharing in this episode is inspired from Alan Cohen’s book with the  inspiring title:  “Why Your Life Sucks”… and the subtitle: “And what you can do about it.”  To be honest it is an amazing book.  Simply amazing book.  Hilarious, very well written and Alan Cohen knows very well what he is talking about.

So in the book we read the following: “We have all been hypnotized into thinking that we are smaller than we are. Just as an undersized flowerpot keeps a mighty tree root-bound or a little fishbowl keeps goldfish tiny, we have adapted, adjusted, and accommodated to a Lilliputian life.  But place the same tree in an open field or the fish in a lake, and they will grow to hundreds of times their size.  Unlike the tree or goldfish, you are not dependent on someone else to move you.  You have the power to move yourself. You can step into a broader domain and grow to your full potential.”

So.. In what domain are you playing your game?  Metaphorically speaking are you doing your thing inside a lake or a fish bowl?  Are you restricting yourself?  Are you keeping yourself small?

Remember, you are dependent to no one.  You have the power to move and by moving to a super big terrain you can force your roots to spread and become much more than what you think you are or what you think you are capable of becoming.

It’s again a matter of choices.  Stop playing small.  Move and bloody expand.

This is the take away of this episode.  Move and bloody expand.

Take care!

All my best,
